My Three Favorite Movies

1. Christmas in August

Made in 2005(Remake of Korea movie in1998)
Directed by Shunichi Nagasaki
Actors: Masayoshi Yamazaki, Meguki Seki, Nishida Maomi
Genre: Pure love story
Place: Takaoka-city in Toyama
Film Company: Toshiba entertainment
Song: Masayoshi Yamazaki’s “Christmas in August”
Sound: Masayoshi Yamazaki
Runtime: 103 minutes.

Recommendation: I couldn’t help crying when I saw this movie. The story was very good. I like the scene of Mr. Yamazaki and Miss. Seki goes together under one umbrella. Mr. Yamazaki in this movie is really cool! He sings a song in the movie. This song is really nice. The words and the sounds are matching to this movie.

2. Notting Hill

Actors: Hugh Grant, Julia Roberts
Genre: Love story
Place: Notting Hill the western part of London
Runtime: 123 minutes.

Recommendation: I really like this movie. This is England movie but it’s famous in Japan too. I think street scene is nice. I especially like the last scene. All my family likes this movie and we have this DVD too. I also like the theme song by Elvis Costello called “She” and song by Ronan Keating called “When You Say Nothing At All”. I have Ronan Keating’s CD too. He is handsome! I will recommend you to see this movie.

3. Tonari no Totoro (My neighbor Totoro)

Awards: Information Movie Award, Japanese Animation Award, Seiun Award, Animation Grand Prize etc…
Song: Inoue Azumi’s “Sanpo”
Runtime: 88 minutes.

Recommendation: This film is really good and it’s famous in all over the world. I have this film’s video at my house. The character Totoro is very cute. I like the scene of Satsuki and Mei waiting for their father at bus station. I have seeing this film many times since I was little.
